Product basics

Is this for engineering firms making drawings, or for buyers reviewing them?

Buyers reviewing them. Xenmark is built for the side that receives drawings — owners, owner reps, building managers, asset operators, technical consultants. The engineering firm joins free as a Participant if you want them to address and close out comments.

Is Xenmark for CAD files?

No. Xenmark is focused on PDF drawing review. Engineering firms work in their CAD master files; reviewers work in PDFs. Xenmark is the structured surface in between — where the comments and replies live.

Does Xenmark replace our document management system?

No. Xenmark is a focused review workflow that produces clean deliverables — comment plan PDF, comment list Excel, full archive bundle on close. It complements your DMS, it doesn't replace it. Store the deliverables wherever you already store project documents.

What kinds of projects is Xenmark for?

Anything from a house plan to a ship block, fabrication package, plant layout, or general technical drawing review. If you receive PDF drawings from an engineering firm, Xenmark fits — projects big or small.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Xenmark is web-based. Open a browser, sign in, and start reviewing. No desktop client, no plugins, no full BIM suite.

How does Xenmark handle revisions?

Each drawing slot keeps a revision history. When the engineering firm sends a new revision, you upload it to the same drawing slot. Old comments stay tied to the revision they were made on. New comments live on the new revision. Status workflow tracks "addressed in Rev B" cleanly.

Roles & access

What roles does Xenmark have?

Three: Project Manager, Editor, and Participant. The Project Manager runs the project — that's you. Editors are your team, consultants, and technical reviewers on your side. Participants are typically the engineering firm responding to feedback. Editors and Participants are free.

Do engineering firms need to pay to join?

No. The Project Manager is the only one who needs a plan. Everyone you invite — your team as Editors, your engineering firm as Participants — joins free. The whole review conversation lives in one shared place without anyone else needing to buy anything.

Can Participants create comments or change statuses?

No. Participants can view project content, add replies to comments, and export the register (PDF/Excel), but cannot create comments, add annotations, upload drawings, or change statuses. The role is built for engineering firms and external reviewers who need to participate without changing core project structure.

Can all roles export the register?

Yes. Project Managers, Editors, and Participants can all export the comment plan PDF and Excel list for any project they have access to. Export is not restricted to Project Managers.

Are projects isolated from each other?

Yes. Each project is access-controlled. Members only see the projects they have been invited to. No cross-project leakage, no accidentally exposing one client's drawings to another.

Deliverables & archive

What's "the deliverable pair"?

Two paired documents that go back to your engineering firm: a comment plan PDF (where each numbered comment is, spatially) and a comment list Excel (what each comment says). Same numbered pins on both. The engineering firm processes them like any other deliverable.

Can deliverables include our own branding?

On Plus and Pro, yes — your logo and document control format on both the comment plan PDF and the Excel list. On Free, deliverables are Xenmark-branded. Custom branding is the key upgrade reason for working professionals.

What do I get when a project closes?

A full archive bundle (.zip) containing every revision's deliverable pair, all comment attachments, the complete activity log, and a README. Stored on your side. PDFs and Excel files readable forever, in any tool. No vendor lock-in.

Does Xenmark store our drawings forever?

No — and intentionally so. Xenmark is a review coordination tool, not permanent storage or a document archive. Free projects delete after a 7-day grace period. Plus projects move to read-only archive for 180 days, then delete (Pro: 365 days), with email reminders before deletion. You walk away with the archive bundle on your own storage. That's the durable record.

Is Xenmark a document management or permanent storage system?

No. Xenmark is a review coordination tool for structured comment workflows on PDF drawings. It is not intended as permanent storage, certified document control, a legal archive, or a safety-critical record system. Store the archive bundle — which you download when a project closes — in your own DMS or storage. That's the durable record. Xenmark steps out of the way.

What's in the activity log?

Every action that happened during the review — who created the project, who joined, who uploaded each revision, who created each comment, every status change, every reply, every deletion — with timestamps and attribution. Audit-grade timeline for owner reps facing potential disputes months later.

Pricing & plans

What plans does Xenmark offer?

Three plans: Free (€0 — 1 project, 3 drawings, 3 revisions, 5 members, 250 MB attachment storage per project, Xenmark-branded exports), Plus (€14.99/mo — 3 projects, 5 drawings, 5 revisions, 10 members, 500 MB attachment storage per project, custom branded exports, 10 archive slots), and Pro (€59.99/mo — 15 projects, 20 drawings, 20 revisions, 30 members, 2 GB attachment storage per project, custom branded exports, 50 archive slots). See the pricing page for full details.

Is there a free option?

Yes. The Free plan gives you one complete review at a time — one active project, three drawings per project, three revisions per drawing, and up to five project members. Deliverables are Xenmark-branded. Start at my.xenmark.app.

How does billing work?

Billing is handled through the Xenmark app. The marketing page is static and does not process payments or store billing details.

Can I upload sensitive, classified, or safety-critical content to Xenmark?

No. Xenmark is intended for ordinary professional PDF drawing review coordination. Users should not upload classified, highly sensitive, safety-critical, legally critical, high-value, or regulated content that requires certified document control or compliance with regulatory archiving standards. If your project requires certified document control or regulated archiving, a dedicated compliance system is more appropriate.

Account & auth

Does the landing page handle login?

No. Login and signup are handled by the actual Xenmark app at my.xenmark.app. This page exists to introduce the product — authentication and billing live where they belong.

Where does my data live?

No drawing data lives on the marketing page. All projects, drawings, comments, and deliverables live inside the authenticated Xenmark app — until you close the project, download the archive bundle, and walk away.
