How do I extract pages from a PDF?
Select one PDF and check the page count shown.
Enter the pages to keep, using page numbers as they appear in a reader. A hyphen makes a range, commas separate terms, and 3- means page three to the end.
Select Extract pages, then save the result before leaving the page.
How does page extraction keep the order I type?
Extract the pages you name from a PDF into a new file, in the order you name them, so you can save just those pages or put them in a different order. The pages themselves are copied byte for byte.
The pages you name are copied into a new document in the order you wrote them, so 3, 1 really does put page three first. A page number outside the document is refused rather than adjusted to the nearest valid page, because silently selecting a different page than the one you asked for is worse than an error message.

Write 9, 3, 1 and the new document runs page nine, then three, then one. Nothing is sorted back into the original sequence.

A line under the field restates which pages your entry covers, so a typing slip shows up before anything is extracted.
A missing page is refused, not swapped
Ask for page 40 of a 30-page document and the message names the real page count. A different page is never picked in its place.
Nothing to install
It runs in the browser you already have. There is no plug-in, no desktop application and no sign-up to get through first.
Limitations
What this tool does not do, stated up front.
A page number that does not exist in the document is refused, not clamped.
Bookmarks, named destinations, page labels, tagged structure, form-field definitions, attachments, layer settings and document properties are not carried into the extracted file. The tool lists which of these were present. A link on an extracted page that pointed at a page you did not extract stops working, because only the pages you chose are in the new file.
One PDF at a time, up to 64 MiB. Encrypted files are refused, including those that open without a password.
Questions
Can I reorder pages while extracting?
Yes. The order you write the pages in is the order they appear in the result.
How do I save only some pages of a PDF as a new file?
Type the pages you want, such as 2, 5-7, 12, and select Extract pages. A new PDF holding just those pages is made in this browser tab for you to save.
Are page numbers the ones printed on the page?
No. They are the sheet positions a reader shows, starting at 1, regardless of any number printed on the paper.
