Calibrate and measure one PDF page
How do I measure distances on a PDF drawing?
Choose a PDF, enter the page number and render that page. Read the preview warning before using the image.
Add two calibration points by clicking the page or entering PDF page X/Y coordinates, enter their known real distance and create the calibration.
Add at least two measurement points, choose an output unit and optionally close the path as a perimeter, then select Measure path.
How does PDF scale calibration work?
Measure lengths and perimeters on a PDF drawing: set the scale from one dimension you know, then click along what you want to measure.
The page is drawn in this tab. When you click it, the click is converted back into the PDF’s own page coordinates, so a point stays where you put it at any zoom. Coordinates are PDF page units — points, 1/72 inch, unless the file sets its own unit — measured with Y increasing up the page on an unrotated page; on a page rotated 90 or 270 degrees, Y runs sideways instead. The distance between your two calibration points, set against the real distance you enter, gives the scale; every leg of the path is then measured in the same coordinates, added up and converted to the unit you choose.

It runs in the browser you already have. There is no plug-in, no desktop application and no sign-up to get through first.
Limitations
What this tool does not do, stated up front.
Measurements are estimates and depend on the source drawing, its distortion, the known distance and precise point placement. It measures lengths and perimeters, not areas.
The preview does not draw annotations, form fields, links or selectable text, and it uses no fonts installed on your computer. A successful render does not prove that all PDF content is visible.
Files up to 150 MiB and 200 pages are accepted, and a page that takes longer than 30 seconds to draw is abandoned.
Questions
Does the PDF leave my browser?
No. The PDF is read and drawn in this tab by a PDF reader served from this site, and there is no upload step. You can confirm it in your browser’s network tab while you measure.
How do I set the scale on a PDF drawing?
Click the two ends of a dimension you know, type its real length and select Create calibration; every measurement on that page then uses that scale.
Can it open a password-protected PDF?
Yes. If the file needs a password, the tool asks for it before drawing the page.
