How does splitting a PDF by page range work?
Split a PDF into separate files: one per page, a fixed number of pages each, or one file for each range you name. Every part keeps its pages exactly as they were.
Each output is a new document built from the pages you selected, with the drawing on each page copied unchanged. Named ranges are read one term per document, so 1-3, 4-6 produces two documents of three pages rather than one document of six. That is deliberately a different reading from a page selection, where the same text would mean one list of six pages.

Parts named after the pages they hold
Each download link takes the source file name plus its page span, such as plan-pages-4-6.pdf, with the part number added when two parts cover the same pages. Inside the ZIP the parts are numbered in order: part-001.pdf, part-002.pdf and so on.
Separate links, or one archive
Every part gets its own download link. When there are several, one button bundles them into a single ZIP of up to 64 MiB.
Each part is a faithful copy
Pages go into each new document with their drawing, images and fonts untouched, so no part is a lower-quality version of the original.
Nothing to install
It runs in the browser you already have. There is no plug-in, no desktop application and no sign-up to get through first.
Limitations
What this tool does not do, stated up front.
Each part is its own download and, when there are several, can also be saved as one ZIP. The ZIP holds at most 2,000 files and 64 MiB in total, with no single file over 32 MiB, so a one-file-per-page split of a very long document has to be saved file by file.
Bookmarks, named destinations, page labels, tagged structure, form-field definitions, attachments, layer settings and document properties stay with the original and are not copied into the parts. The tool lists which of these the file had. A link on a page that pointed at a page in a different part stops working, because each part holds only its own pages.
One PDF at a time, up to 64 MiB. An encrypted PDF is refused, even one that opens without a password, rather than split into unprotected parts.
Questions
Can I download all the split files at once?
Yes. When a split makes more than one file, one button saves them all as a single ZIP, as long as they come to no more than 64 MiB and 2,000 files. Each part also keeps its own download link.
What does a range mean when splitting?
Each comma-separated term becomes one output document, so 1-3, 4-6 gives you two files, not one file of six pages. Pages you leave out of the ranges are not in any output; the other two ways of dividing include every page.
How do I split a PDF into single pages?
Choose One document per page and select Divide. Every page becomes its own PDF, and for a document of two or more pages one button saves them all together as a ZIP.
